Description

Learners undertaking this IQA qualification will be able to understand the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment and internally assure the quality of assessment.

Typically, distance learning students complete this course within 3-6 months although students are able to take up to 12 months to complete the qualification.

Learners will achieve 12 credits across 2 units:

  • Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment
  • Internally assure the quality of assessment

Who is this course for?

This course will qualify the candidate to act as an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA). These roles exist in further education colleges, independent training providers and apprenticeship providers.

It will also be a useful qualification for those responsible for managing the quality of training and/or assessment within workplace training.

Requirements

Learners must be aged 19+ years to be enrolled onto this course. If enrolling to this course as an individual, you must be working or have access to a training or teaching environment as you are required to carry out quality assurance in a live environment as part of the qualification.

Career path

Those holding this qualification can work as an IQA within a training provider or college.
